Welcome to Clinical Trial Confidential.

We believe the clinical trial industry lacks a platform for open, transparent conversation. This lack of transparency inhibits progress. In this industry, that means patients are the ones that suffer.

Here you can choose to register an account, post anonymously or both. It is our hope that the ability to post anonymously will help foster useful conversation by allowing users to express their opinions without fear of retaliation, fear of appearing ignorant and otherwise allowing users to express opinions that may be contrary to their employer or that their position may not permit.

We believe great ideas should stand on their own merit and not the credentials of their author.

We hope these values will foster an environment of collaboration.

I'm considering adding community written editorials/articles as a section to the website. Sort of an agnostic medium where people can contribute more long form content that isn't just advertising or marketing.

I'm still working through what this might look like and I'm open to ideas. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Wasnt sure where to start a new conversation but I am wondering if anyone can speak to the issue of language translation? We had a trial years ago that we had all items translated in spanish for since our PI and Sub-I were fluent. We ended up having a consent issue on one of the patients. When the FDA reviewed He said it was required that we put whoever was the translator on the DOA with the task to translate and on top of that the person needed to be certified in reading and writing spanish to be able to have the task delegated. What have been your experiences with other language?

Wow, never heard about an FDA request like that. Well, this should not be in question, when the sponsor provides those materials which will be IRB approved anyway, no?
And in case the site needs to initiate translation of materials (we have to do that too being close to the Mexican boarder)  - use an official specialized translating vendor specialized in clinical research. They provide all materials suited and formatted for all regulatory needs. For example Interpreting & Professional Translation Company | Language Connections
I hope this helps. CJ
