Welcome to Clinical Trial Confidential.

We believe the clinical trial industry lacks a platform for open, transparent conversation. This lack of transparency inhibits progress. In this industry, that means patients are the ones that suffer.

Here you can choose to register an account, post anonymously or both. It is our hope that the ability to post anonymously will help foster useful conversation by allowing users to express their opinions without fear of retaliation, fear of appearing ignorant and otherwise allowing users to express opinions that may be contrary to their employer or that their position may not permit.

We believe great ideas should stand on their own merit and not the credentials of their author.

We hope these values will foster an environment of collaboration.

Interim Analysis Rushed Data Entry and Query Resolutions

Quote

Does anyone have on their budget lines related to IA? or anything that can be billed for rushed (24-hour and same-day) data entry and query resolution? We recently had a study going through IA and we enrolled a patient that fell into the IA dates and VERY close to the deadline so we HAD to enter data same day! If not, by the next day (<24 hours from visit) we were getting calls, texts, and emails that it needed to be done, and of course resolve queries almost immediately after being issued. We are talking screening, baseline, and first follow-up within one week PLUS all the data entered, queries resolved, and now accommodate a last minute RMV to source verify it all. It feels unfair not to be able to bill for any of it. I've requested a budget amendment and working on adding some invoiceable lines because my PI whom I love to death accepted whatever they initially offered so it's UGLY. Anyway, I want to start adding AI fees, or rushed data requests lines to all budgets moving forward, but unsure of best wording.
